OE Suddenly started not connecting and when I click on the Mail Send and
Receive button I get a window asking for my password. I am running Cloudmark anti-spam and PC Security Anti-virus with OE6 on a Win XP Home laptop. -- Heavy User |

I followed the process listed in the microsoft/support website and the same
password window keeps coming up and OE will not connect. If I click cancel on the password request window the following eror message comes up: There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Turn off email scanning and that will put the mail server name back in.
You're showing localhost so it's running thru a proxy which is where the problem is located. "HoJo" wrote in message ... No, just turn off any scanning, make sure the pop and smtp servers are reset
