Default Toolbar buttons widening through VNC

I just noticed something with Outlook Express 6. Although it's not a major
hassle, when I connect to a computer through RealVNC, the buttons on the main
toolbar of Outlook Express, which stays open, widens a bit. And the more I
connect to the computer (after disconnecting), the more the buttons widen. It
seems like closing and re-starting Outlook Express fixes the problem, but
still that's a bit strange and annoying (the "send/receive all" button
disappear after 2 or 3 reconnects).

Has this ever happened to anybody? I've checked this with Outlook Express
version 6.00.2900.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158). I've been asked by my boss
to look into it (we provide software support through VNC) and thought the
computers might have missed a couple of updates, but that wasn't the case. If
anybody has any idea, any feedback would be appreciated. I'll look into it
anyway to see how RealVNC manages to cause this behaviour and if it applies
to older/more recent versions of this VNC solution. Thanks in advance.

That has been going on for years with OE. It seems to happen for a few days
and then it's OK for awhile. MS has never addressed this issue and
doubtfully ever will.

You can also grab the bottom of the toolbar and push it up, and then back
down. Some people also opt for small icons with no text.

Thanks. It seems like I was almost the only one (with the boss) not to be
aware of the issue (always been an Outlook user). Next time I'll ask around
first...
