OE does not come with a spelling checker. It uses the spelling checker from
any Office program that has one. Do you have such a program?

If not you could try one of these:

Free spellchecker.
which I use on my laptop, which has Works.

$15 shareware

And here's a freeware that checks your spelling as you type:
TinySpell

What version of Works? If it's versions 4 through 6, you can, and it
should be automatic except for version 4.0 which requires a registry
fix. The spell checker in older and newer versions of Works are not
compatible with Outlook Express.

There are also some shareware/freeware spell checkers that may work (see
the URL in my signature).
