I'm using OE6 with MSN dialup, for web-based email, with 6 email accounts.
When I move messages from the Inbox and Sent messages folders of one account to a folder in another account, the messages are bouncing out of that folder, and into that account's Inbox, and the displayed sent/received dates corrupt to the date/time when the message was moved. (The message itself retains the actual received or sent date/time, once it's opened.) How do I restore the actual sent/received dates/times to these message headers, so that they are in the correct sequence, and so I don't have to open each one to learn the actual sent/received date/time? |

I used the "move to" tool on the toolbar.

This shouldn't happen. If you save the message outside of OE, then it will
have the file date of when you saved it. But if it goes back into OE, it will have the proper dates. How are you getting individual inboxes and sent items for individual accounts? Are you using separate identities? steve "malarkey" wrote in message ... I used the "move to" tool on the toolbar. "Ron Sommer" wrote in message ... Yes. They're individual email accounts added to the primary email account
with the same ISP. "Steve Cochran" wrote in message ... This shouldn't happen. If you save the message outside of OE, then it will have the file date of when you saved it. You say you are using OE6 but then you say web-based. Is this a POP3
account or something else? steve "malarkey" wrote in message ... Yes. They're individual email accounts added to the primary email account with the same ISP. "Steve Cochran" wrote in message ... All the accounts are set up the same way--web-based.

Then its not an OE issue per se. I suspect its MSN.
