Default How to stop Dell files from popping up

When I boot up the following window pops up at the very end of the boot up
process.

C:\program files\dell

How can I stop this?

You might want to see if someone in an XP newsgroup can help. This is
Outlook Express.

Is there a shortcut to that folder in your Startup folder? (Start All
Programs Startup)

Alternatively, did you try to disable or remove some Dell feature that
came with your computer?

Ted,
There's no shortcut under all programsstartup.

And yes...I've been doing a lot of tweaking of different stuff trying to clean
up all the automatic things that came with the PC...but can't put my finger on
what I may have done to create this window from popping up.

Try the Dell Users Forums. Someone there might be able to guess what you
"tweaked" or what you might have done wrong. And in future, RTFM instead
of tweaking. Trust me on this...you're corresponding with a former tweaker.

Go to Start | Run and type msconfig and then look at the startup items and
the non-MS services.

See also what programs are under that directory to figure out what its
trying to do.

I don't know what this has to do with Outlook Express, but here's another
thing to check:
Open Windows Explorer and click Tools | Folder Options | View. Down near
the bottom uncheck "Restore previous folder windows at logon".

Thank you for your input Frank. I got so frustrated trying to solve this simple
problem a few days ago that I simply went to "system restore" and went back
several days and that solved the problem...nothing else seemed to work.
Also...I just looked at "Restore previous folder..." as you suggested and it was
already unchecked but I don't know if "System Restore" did that or not? .
