I too get the following message all of a sudden:
-- Access to the account was denied. Verify that your username and password are correct. Account: 'Hotmail', Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol: HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Invalid login.', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC32 I have not downloaded anything new. I deleted my hotmail account, changed my password from the hotmail site then tried to add the account again to Outlook but I still get the same message. |

When you get that message, try the web interface and see if it's
working. The server for Hotmail continues to have problems and is often offline for extended periods of time. I am able to get the email thru the web interface but still today I can't get

You might want to try deleting the account, closing the Mail application
and reopen it and recreate the account. If you are trying it with more than one Hotmail account in an identity, I'd suggest creating new identities for each additional Hotmail account. Yeah, that's what I did yesterday and still no luck.

Then I really have no idea what it may be, other than Hotmail's servers
