I'm using outlook express 6, along with XP Home
I have two users on this PC - One of the User accounts is fine - The Other
account keeps changing the Server Info in Outlook Express.

Tools -- Accounts --Mail -- Properties --Server

My Incoming Mail server (POP3) should be mail.localnet.com

But after a restart, the info changes to 127.0.0.1

ALSO, My account name adds the " as well


If I manually change these settings back to what they should be, the mail
works fine until I restart.

Any advice is appreciated

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer
of protection that eats up CPUs and causes a multitude of problems such as
time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A/V program will
continue to protect you sufficiently. For more, see:

It could also be an anti-spam program doing that.
