Default Exporting contacts to Excel

Hi. I'd like to provide my address book contacts to a friend. She would
like it as an Excel file, so she can easily import all my e-mail addresses
into her own address book. My address book consists of only groups of
e-mail addresses. I am struggling BIG TIME trying to do this. Can you
help?

Export your address book as a CSV (Text Only) file which can be opened
natively by Excel. Be aware that only the contacts listed in the Shared
Contacts folder will be exported. If you wish to include contacts in
Folders and Groups, you will have to copy/paste them into the Shared
Contacts folder prior to export. See this link for more info about the
Windows Address Book:

Hi Micki,

You could try copying the group entries to a new, stand alone, WAB address
book file main contacts folder -- then export entries from the new address
book as a comma-separated values (*.csv) file. This will depend on how the
group entries were created. Adding address entries to a group's properties
sheet does not create normal address book entries.

The CSV file can be opened in Excel.

To create a stand alone WAB file
Click Start, click Run, and type wab /new

The address book will be opened at the end of the save process.

Includes tips for creating a CSV file.

It would also be possible to export from the default address book and edit
the (CSV file) entries in Notepad, or Excel or other spreadsheet program.
