Default SYNCHRONIZING MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS IN OUTLOOK EXPRESS 6.0

Hello

I am using Outlook Express 6.0 with Windows XP Professional and SP2.

I have been synchronizing my OE6 with my hotmail account for years with no
problems. I have recently decided to run down this email account and use a
brand new hotmail email address. I was hoping to be able to sync both
addresses using OE6. I went to "Accounts" and added the second newer email
address. I have successfully moved all my old emails from the old address to
the new one. I have today however been unsuccessful in being able to sync
either of the accounts using the "send receive all" option. It just seems to
be doing something and then after a few minutes comes back with the message
as follows:-

Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Account: 'New JASP
email account', Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp',
Protocol: HTTPMail, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 12019, Error
Number: 0x80004005

Can anyone help with this problem?

Many thanks

This could be that your new account is not supported for retrieval in OE?
Since Sep 04 access for new accounts is by subscription only.

I do not use Hotmail so I did a search on your error, using:
http://www.google.com/advanced_group_search?hl=en
Here is that search result:

Default SYNCHRONIZING MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS IN OUTLOOK EXPRESS 6.0

The new Hotmail account running in OE notwithstanding, that error almost
always points to mysterious problems on MSN/Hotmail's end. Until it
automagically clears up (most likely for only the old account), access your
mail at www.hotmail.com.
