I have two calendars in Outlook 2007. One calendar is associated with my comcast email address and the other is associated with my hotmail email address. The reason is if I just use the calendar associated with my hotmail address I recieve a Synch error from my Iphone 3G with I try to update my Iphone. It appears it doesnt like Windows Live Essentials Outlook Connector. However it does recognize the calendar associated with my comcast account and doesnt give me a synch error. I want to keep the calendar associated with my hotmail
account, so hence the need for two calendars. I want to be able to add an appointment in either one and have it show up in the other. Is that possible within Outlook 2007? |

is the comcast calendar your default? Try setting the msn acct as the
default delivery location. You'll probably want to set the pst as the delivery location for comcast. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Diane,
I tried what you suggested. It did not work. The Iphone still will not synch up with the calendar associated with my hotmail account. It has no problem with the calendar associated with my comcast account. I did change my default account to my hotmail account and the comast calendar was already going to the pst file. As far as my question about changing one calendar and having it show up in the other is it possible for two calendar in one outlook account? Thanks again for any assistance, LTK outlookmvp wrote on Sat, 17 January 2009 14:13 is the comcast calendar your default? Try setting the msn acct as the default delivery location. you can have as many calendar folders as you want but only one can be
default. some sync software will sync with multiple calendar folders, other software will only use the default calendar. have you asked on the apple iphone forums? Not many people here sync with iphones and even fewer use it with msn while everyone on the iphone forums sync with iphone and some probably sync with msn. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. She said to change the delivery location. Click ToolsAccount Settings. Select the Data Files tab, select the Hotmail data file and click Set As Default. Stop and restart Outlook. Then click ToolsAccount Settings and select the E-mail Accounts tab. Select the Comcast account and there'll be a button at the bottom to change the delivery folders. Change them to be the Inbox and Sent Items in the PST. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Thank you all for your help. I tried all the suggestions and it didnt work. It looks like the Iphone does not like a hotmail account. As soon as I make the Hotmail account the default I get Synch errors when I try to Synch the Iphone. I should have expected it when I could not add my hotmail account to my mail accounts on the Iphone. Oh well, hopefully Apple and Microsoft will learn to play nice in the future.
Peace, LTK |
