Is there any way to prevent autopick from scheduling meetings in the past?

Thanks,
Dan

It doesn't. There's something not quite right with your system. Please
provide some details.

I have my calendar on the 5 day view.
If I select new meeting request it defaults to Mondays date.
I select the people and then go to the scheduling tab and select autopick.
Even if it is Friday it will schedule the meeting for Tuesday (in the past
if everyone is available) This is the same for other people at my company.

You are telling Outlook to autopick any day in the future compared to the
date you have selected from a week view. As it's selecting Monday, Tuesday
is appropriate (yes - I know computers can be stupid).

A simple way to do this, while still using the week view, is to highlight
the spot you want to place the meeting (now or later - but not in the past),
right click and select New Meeting Request. This method also enables you to
wipe the relevant length of meeting time efficiently, eg from 10 to 12, then
right click and make a new meeting.

Autopick as usual once you have the initial possible time set at no earleir
than "now".

Thank you for the resonses.

If you select some future day and use the autopick backward button, it knows
you can't schedule meetings in the past and if you try to go back beyond the
current date and time it gives you a message "can't schedule meetings in the
past". So the program knows past and future. It shouldn't allow meetings to
be scheduled in the past.
