OL2007: Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment
Hi,
We have a delegated user who cannot open/edit or create calender items in the calender for her boss. She has been given both delegation rights, as well as full-access rights (server-side) on the mailbox. Using her own Outlook 2007 client when she opens a calender appointment she receives an error message: "Cannot open this item. Cannot open the free/busy information. Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment." When she opens her own Outlook Web Access (OWA) and then open his mailbox, she is able to do everything she needs to do. Tried so far: - Office 2007 repair - Removed all Outlook profiles from her PC and configured it from scratch - Configured her account on another computer - Configured her account an a brand new PC All without solving the issue. When I create an outlook profile on her pc, and configure her boss-es mailbox on it (still using delegated access), then she is able to do everything ?!? What works: - Delegated access using Outlook Web Access - A profile on her pc with his mailbox configured. What doesn't work: - Opening calendar items when using a profile with her own mailbox configured. All other secretaries have no issues on the mailbox. She is the only one with full-access rights on the mailbox, and is the only one that cannot work. On other calenders she has no problems at all. So it is only the combination of her and her boss. Does anyone have a suggestion ? |

OL2007: Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment
sorry about the previous blank post
I just wanted to chime in here to report that we were seeing the exact same issue with one of our Assistants and her accessing the Executives calendar. Didn't try all the same steps as Alexander, but most of them and came up with the same results. Funny thing is today the Assistant reported the problem was resolved - and we didn't change a thing. The only thing, which was a random coincidence, is that she had to re-sync (Enterprise Activate) her Blackberry due to a faulty sim card. Similar to this, we're also seeing 5-6 other users having an issue with disappearing calendar items and "Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment." error messages when attempting to dismiss reminders. I've read that the resolution is to delete and recreate/reaccept the meetings, but the rapid increase of these reports in the last 24 hours makes me think it isn't just some random corrupt appointments... My gut is telling me it's related to handheld e-mail devices - but the users reporting the problems have everything - Activesync (Windows mobile and iphone) and Blackberry. One users doesn't even have a mobile device. Which then points me to the possibility that it's not the users having the problems, but attendees of the meeting that is "corrupting" the appointments. -STZ "Alexander S Spaargaren" wrote: Hi, We have a delegated user who cannot open/edit or create calender items in the calender for her boss.
