Issue with Outlook 2007 Calendar
I am having an issue with Outlook 2007 and trying to schedule a meeting
request. When you click on new meeting request and select a distribution list (which is some what large), it takes a very long time for Outlook to become responsive again. I understand that it is going over everyones calendar but this takes an exceptionaly long time to update. Once inside the meeting request, if you expand any distribution list, it becomes unresponsive again for some time. About 2 to 3 min. We are running Outllook 2007 updated with all the latest patches. The exchange server is 2003. We are still in testing phase of 2007 but all 4 users that are running 2007 are having the same problem. Any help would be great. Thanks |

Issue with Outlook 2007 Calendar
I would suggest that you:
Check to see if any of the following are turned on in your Outlook settings: 1.. Turn off "instant messaging" Q290025 (See quick instructions below) 2.. Uncheck all planner options per article Q324374 (See quick Info below) 1) OL2002: Delay Occurs When You Open a Message in Outlook 2002 with Instant Messaging Enabled (good for 2003 also) http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;290025 Remove the link between Outlook 2002 and MSN Messenger, perform the following steps: 1. Start Outlook. 2. From the Tools menu, select Options. 3. Select the Other tab. 4. Clear the "Enable Instant Messaging in Microsoft Outlook" check box in the Instant Messaging section, then click OK. 5. Close and restart Outlook for the change to take effect. If you have inadvertantly turned this on (Enable the Person Names Smart Tag) then every message you touch, Outlook will look for an IM to hook it to. After a while, it gives up and then loads your message. After all, there is nothing to find if you are not using IM (LCS). Turn off the Show Popup Calendar Details option or the Show Calendar Details in Grid option. "Capt1190" wrote in message ...
