Transferring Public Folder Calendar Data to Resource Mailbox Calen

I am trying to transfer data from Public Folder Calendars to Resource Mailbox
Calendars. I'd like the appointments, dates, etc. to show up accurately on
the Resource Mailbox Calendars. I've attempted to import the data as .pst
file but that just creates another calendar folder that references an
IPM_Tree within the Resource Mailbox. I've read in some blogs that creating
an .ics file from the Public Folder calendar would resolve the issue.
However, I have not found a way to create a .ics file for a calendar in
Outlook 2003. The posts that stated the .ics method would solve the issue
alluded to Outlook 2007. I've also tried copying the Public Folder calendar
items and then pasting them in the Resource Mailbox calendar but that has not
worked either.

Why doesn't copy and paste work? Did you try Edit, Move to folder?

Diane:

It seems as if the copy and paste function wants to aggregate all of the
calendar items into one single item and the operation fails. I tried the
copy/move as you suggested and I got the same results. I appreciate your
willingness to help me.

right click on the public folder - choose properties. Look on the
administration tab - is drag and drop set to use move/copy or forward?

It should work. What permission does the user have for the folder and what
permission does anonymous have?

Diane:

I've granted the user (resource mailbox) owner permissions on the Public
Folder Calendar. Anonymous has reviewer permissions. After applying the
owner permission, I end up with the same results. Each time I try to copy
and paste, Outlook treats the function as combining several items from the
Public Folder Calendar into one calendar item on the Resource Mailbox
calendar. Thanks for your diligence in helping me come to resolve on this
issue.
