Default open office 2007 calender through web link on intranet

On our intranet we can open Office 2003 Calendars with this path using IE:
outlook://Public%20Folders/All%20Public% etc. This will NOT work with Office
2007. IE just goes to a page that says 'the webpage cannot be found'. Anyone
run into this and found a solution? Thanks!

Outlook 2007 isn't registered as the outlook protocol. I believe this is for
security reasons.
