Default Multiple Appointments at same time and appearance

Is there any way to have multiple appointments in a master calendar appear
one below the next, as oppsoed to side by side, at the same time with the
time for that entry simply expanding down the calendar? The side by side
appearance, when you have a master calendar for multiple people, is
practically unusable. In other words if you have five ten appointments at 9AM
have them show in list fashion on the daily view one after, not along side,
the next?
