Any idea why the "People's Calendars" kept disappearing. Every now and then
this group of shared calendars disappeared. Are the settings of this group of shared calendars on the local machine or on the Exchange server? We are using MS Exchange server. Any help is appreciated. |

What do you mean "where it it disappearing from"? I'm not sure what you're
talking about. The only place I know where the "People's Calendar" is located is in the left side underneath the "All Calendar Items". It is right beneath the "My Calendars". That group of people kept disappearing. Every now and then, all the people in that group is gone. So I'm sure what you mean by "disappear from". As I said in the title of this thread "People's Calendar" so that means it's disappearing from the People's Calendar group. Hope that is clear if not, please let me know what you mean. Okay, so what you are saying is that if reseting the nav pane does not help
then that means it's a Microsoft Outlook bug, correct? Does Microsoft know about this bug? Is there any fix to this bug? |

You responded to a similar question yesterday, but I’m having problems
replying to your question. The same thing is happening to me. Is there a fix for this “seem to be bug” in Outlook? Susan May "Diane Poremsky" wrote: I wasn't sure if you meant there or in group schedules. There is a known issue where they don't stick well, especially if you lose connectivity to the server. Try opening outlook using the /resetnavpane switch - if it doesn't help, then it’s the bug. (Using this switch will delete all folder shortcuts added to the navigation pane (including Favorite folders).) http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/switches.htm -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Charlie" wrote in message ... I think you should try using the ".../CleanViews" Command-Line
Switch for Outlook. This restores default views. NOTE: All custom views you created are lost. Also, be sure the clients are up-to-date in their patches. Instructions for Outlook 2007 See the following link for information on how to use this switch VERY EASY: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...185891033.aspx Or if you use Outlook 2007 The following page explains the Command-Line switches for 2003: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...031101033.aspx The command line looks kinda like (Depends on what version of Outlook you are using as to WHERE your Outlook.exe file is located): "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe " /CleanViews Note: Paths that include spaces between words must be enclosed in quotation marks (") and are case sensitive.
