In want to format my calendar issues in OL2007 with a color, so I can easily
differentiate between personal meetings and ponecalls, etc. When I create more than 4 rules for automatic formatting, theser rules are not saved when OL2007 is closed. The formatting also dissapears after switching to email and back. A change of color of the existing rules is saved neither. Color coding with categories works fine, but is not what I want to do. the problem exists on both my laptop (Vista) and my desktop (XP SP2). I use Business contact manager on both computers. Office Professional SP1. In an other thread the startoption "/safe:4" was metioned. I tried it, but it didn't work. Re-installing Office didn't solve it either. (I posted the question on the dutch forum. They answered me it might be a bug and advised me to post the question in this forum). Can you give me a solution for this problem? Harrie Geboers |

Thank you for coming back to me so soon.
And for giving the solution! I started outlook with the "/cleanviews" switch and reformatted the calandar items. It works. The limit to 4 rules is gone and I can change colors. Thanks. Are you creating a new rule or editing an existing rule? when a view doesn't save it generally means the view is corrupt. The usual way to "fix" view problems is by starting outlook with the cleanviews switch... unfortunately this wipes out all custom views. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "HarrieG" wrote in message ...
