Can I change future reoccurring meetings without changing history?

We have lots of reoccurring meetings and while I have no problem rescheduling
occasional meetings, there are times I need to change all future meetings to
a new date/time. The only way I know how to change a reoccuring meeting
causes me to lose historial data which is something I don't want to do as we
use it for tracking, accountability, etc. Is there a way to change meetings
going forward from a certain point and leave previous meetings in the
calendar?

Create a new meeting and put and end dat on the old one.
