Default Export Outlook 2007 mtg request tracking info to excel

I have a meeting that includes 30-40 responses from internal and external
contacts.
I want to export all names and responses to a spreadsheet to generate name
tags. I have tried select all/copy/paste but the response (accept, tent or
decline) is not captured and all info when pasted goes into 1 cell. any
ideas? thanks

Hi Terri,
The only way I know how to do this is to open the meeting notice then choose
reply to all with message (located the actions dropdown) then copy the names
from the "To" field. Next launch excel and click in a cell, all the data
will be in one cell at this point. Next make sure you've selected the cell
where you pasted the data, then click on Data then text to columns, then
choose delimited, click on next, choose semicolon (and de-select any other
options that are checked) then click finish. Now all of the names will be in
seperate columns. If you wish to put the names in rows instead, highlight the
entire row where the names are, then right click, choose copy. Move to a
cell below the row you're data is in, right click and choose paste special
then check the "Transpose" box & click ok. Now your data will be all in one
column with one name in each row.

Hope this helps...

Vera

thanks Vera. seems pretty non-intuitive. Good oppty for an export option in
mtg requests. again, thanks, I'll try your suggestion.

I just finished this exercise (and it works) but what I noticed is that the
name is the "display" name and not the actual email address. for the names
that are NOT in my address book then the email address does appear. Any other
ideas?
