task does not appear in taskpad
I'm using Outlook 2003.
Is it normal that a new task, does not appear in the taskpad with a status "Not started". "Outllook Today" shows all active tasks. (In progress and Not Started ones)

Which Tasks show in the TaskPad is driven by the settings you select at
View | TaskPad View. Try a few until you like what you see. Start Date and Due date can both affect Tasks shown. I hope this helps you at least a little bit!
