Calendars as a Resource in Outlook Appointments
By following the directions on slipstick.com under the topic of Outlook 2000
and later (direct booking) ( http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/skedresource.htm ) I now have the calendar create, autoaccepting requests and working. My problem is that I cannot figure out how to set it to NOT accept mail as suggested in this paragraph: quote TIP: Using your Exchange Server administration tool, set the mailbox to not accept messages from anyone. (A distribution list or security group is good for this.) That way, if users forget and add the resource as a required or optional attendee, the request will bounce back to them from the resource mailbox. /quote I cannot seem to find the section(s) suggested. The couple that I tried did not prevent mail from being delivered and there was an unacknowledged request in the mailbox. This is something we do not want. Any ideas? Thanks, Will

There is a Microsoft Knowldgebase Article on how to setup the resources so they don't get any incoming mail inviting them. I have mine setup that way, I'll try to remember what the article pointed out and post it here... something about turning off the default reminders also...
