None of the MVP's work for MS, we're all volunteers. For the most part your
guess is as good as ours is about what they're working on, or even what they
plan to fix.

These newsgroups are all peer to peer. There's no MS presence in them for
the most part.

As we find bugs or notice posts about bugs we try to report them to MS but
they don't even have a formal mechanism for that set up, so it's rather hit
or miss.

I have Outlook 2007 but I never use Outlook to print so I'm not familiar
with that specific problem. There are a lot of calendar related printing
problems though. The only official way to notify MS about a problem like
this would be to open a support incident. If it's a bug then you wouldn't be
charged for the support incident.

i create a incident report and here's MS's response:

Thanks for the update. I have tested both of your setup and found that it
works in BETA but not in the Final release. Currently it looks to be a
changed in the final release that is causing this issue. I am currently
working with the Dev team to try and find out what could be the cause. I will
keep you updated on the issue as soon as I get some more information.


the problem is in the final relaease code. the Beta code works fine

So they're acknowledging a problem in the release code? It's not the first
that wasn't there in the beta. At least it's on their radar now, if it
wasn't before.

so it's been how many months now with no fix to this problem?? and why when i
try to report it to microsoft do they try to charge me 50 bucks?? it's their
bug they should fix it, and why not let these so called "mvp" ppl actually
report problems to them? what is the point if they have no clue that there is
a problem, i am so frustrated with this day after day!

People are charged up front and refunded for bugs because, honestly, it's
alot easier than getting people to pay *after* they've been helped for free.
But, since it is a bug, yes, you would be refunded.

If you go into the Page Setup, Format Tab, Layout option you can choose 1 or
2 pages per month, if you choose 1 page per month you get the bug if you
choose 2 pages per month you do not.

If you need 1 month per page print out, select 2 pages per month layout
option and on the Paper Tab select either A4 Half or 1/2 sheet booklet.

Also, for retail copies, the first 60 days of support is free.

As for the earlier question on when this will get fixed, reporting the problem is the best way to get it to bump up the priority list. Critical bugs -- those that cause crashes and security problems -- tend to get addressed first with hotfixes and narrow public updates. Fixes for printing issues would normally not show up until the first service pack, which could be quite a few months away.
