We have Outlook 2003 runnig on client Pc, connected to SBS 2003 std edition
with exchange 2003 sp2.
If we add a appointment to the calender via the client, it adds it to the
mailbox calender. BUT will not sync the appointment with a mobile device
mobile2003se via exchange sync.
If we add it via OWA, it adds it to the mailbox calender & to outlook on the
cilent PC. Then it sync with the mobile device , NO PROBELMS.
Also No Probelms when we add via mobile device.
Here`s the interesting bit, If you edit [change date/time] the apointment
made via OWA/mobile device in outlook. It syncs fine.
Edit the appointment we made using outlook, it won`t sync with mobile device
but updates itself in the mailbox calender.
Anyone got any ideas, the probelm seems to be in outlook we think the cause
is where we shared the calendar with another cilent. But not sureneed to get
this sort.
Thanks

I'm curious. I'm assuming you're using ActiveSync and have the "Enable
synchronization with a server" enabled. What happens if you disable that
option and just sync it with Outlook?

Hi Brian, Yes you are right its set to sync with a server. The mobile device
syncs fine with the client PC when the calender is configured not to sync via
server. everything else works fine, another thing we`ve noticed if you import
iCalender/vCalender files in to outlook on the cilent pc, it all syncs up ok
