Default HOW TO STOP AUTOMATIC REFRESHING OF SCREEN IN "OUTLOOK TODAY"

Hello,

In Outlook 2000, I maintain a list of "Things to do today" in "Outlook
Today". Its very nice, except that it has this annoying habit of
automatically refreshing the screen every single time that I check
something off.

So if I have 15 tasks on my screen, and I am checking them all off as
"complete", then the stupid screen refreshes every single time that I
check a box. This obviously makes it very slow to check off a lot of
items.

Another annoyance: When I check off an item as complete, Outlook draws
a stupid line thru it. Is there some way to just make the completed
task just disappear? Its done. I don't want to see it anymore. I
want my list to get shorter.

This also leads to another problem. If you have 20 completed items on
your list, then the whole first screen just has nothing but stupid
completed tasks with lines drawn thru them, which I don't even want to
see. They don't go away until the following day.

Anybody know how to control this stuff?

Thanks

Sorry, I don't know how to change any of those settings; I think they're
hard-coded.
