Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this...

We have offices in different locations and want to assign a color for
each office. We can then add items to a shared calendar with the color
assigned for that office so we all know what office is doing what on any
given day.

With that said:
1) Is there a way to assign colors to people as a default and then
have that color show automatically as they post items to this shared
calendar? If so is there a way to only assign that color as they post
on the shared calendar as I would NOT want this when they add items to
their own calendar?

2) If the above is not an option, is there a way to create a new color
category that EVERYONE will see? Right now I know I can create a new
color category but only I can see it; I'm wanting everyone on the Global
Address List to be able to see this new color category and name.

Let me know if I need to explain in greater detail and once again,
thank you for your time!

I don't believe public folders have master category lists that everyone can
see, but I could be wrong.

As Brian has said, Public Folders don't have a master category list (as
opposed to mailboxes).

Hence, if you want everybody to see the same color applied to a certain
category for public folders, you need to create the same master category
list on every computer. You can do that manually, or use Category Manager to
share your categories. For details see the link in my signature, please.
