Just completed a reinstall of Office 2000 including Outlook 2000.
I had been using a quite nice backup utility, provided by MS, which reminded me regularly to backup Outlook. Simply say yes to backup to folder of choice. When I went to search for this utility (which I apparently failed to save) MS insisted I validate my XP & Office 2000. No problem with XP but MS failed Office 2000. This is strange, they have during 2007, allowed two seperate updates, (shown in MS log of updates) & possibly others. I have the CD's & Product ID etc. I am advised I should contact MS by phone for a quick resolution. Becasue the help & support MS facility appears not to recognise either Office 2000 ore Outlook 2000 I am in a bind. Can anyoone help with an alternative solution, or advise how to obtain an Australian MS contact (no cost) phone no. I believe this is a MS problem of validation & it has caused me hours of frustration. Peter O |
