Default POP-3 Incoming Mail Name replaced

Windows version?

In OE: What numbers do you see in Help | About | msoe.dll?

Do you have an anti-spam program?

What are you using for an anti-virus program?

I read this post with interest as I have exactly the same problem as Ted..I
tried your solution, but no change, my pop server is replaced with the
same
127.0.0.01 every time I restart the computer..HELP PLEASE

This is usually caused by scanning e-mail, or an anti-spam program.

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant
layer
of protection that eats up CPUs and causes a multitude of problems such
as
time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A/V program will
continue to protect you sufficiently. For more, see:

Every time I start Outlook Express my pop-server name is replaced by
127.0.0.1 I have to Accounts / Properties/Mail/ Servers and edit the
POP-3 Incoming Mail server name to receive mail. Anybody know what
causes
this and how I can fix it?
