Well, tell your sender of those critical pictures to insert the
pictures within the body of the message (disposition=inline)
rather than attaching them (disposition=attached). Look at the
raw code of the e-mail and notice in the MIME part what is its
disposition. If the sender doesn't insert or paste the picture
using whatever e-mail program that they happen to use then you get
to see it exactly how they constructed it.
I inserted (not attached) a picture and sent it to myself, and it still
showed up as an attachment.
