But I emailed myself @outlook.com and I got back a delivery notification failure.

Basically I want to start using an @outlook.com address but want it with all my old emails and info from my "old" hotmail account. Is this not possible? Can one only create a new @outlook.com address and start using it? Thanks to anyone who can help.
• Go to the Outlook.com Login page.
• Now, just log in using your @hotmail.com email address and password.
• After you login, you’ll see a Welcome message.
• Click the Continue to inbox button.

Now you are done .Once you have made the upgrade, you’ll find that all of your email messages and contacts are just as they were in Hotmail.com
