Default Problem finding a Contact in Outlook

You don't create email addresses in Outlook. You create Contacts. So tell us
more clearly what you did.
Your OS is not relevant to this issue. Your Outlook version would be.
Start by telling us your Outlook version and how you configured the Outlook
Address Book to display your Contacts.
If you don't know, start by reading the basic information:

Hello.

I'm using Windows-XP Pro and I'm using Outlook. I created an email
address in the
contacts folder but when I try to create a new email message I click the
TO icon,
in the new panel, (looks like Word) on the left hand side of the panel and
another
panel appears saying 'select names' and there aren't any names or email
addresses in
the panel to select from, it's blank.

It almost seems to me that some how the folder where the contacts are kept
isn't
being searched or isn't in the search order. I have poked around in the
different
panels and options but I can't seem to find out how to get the email
address of the
contact I want to appear.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
