Default Prevent outlook from automatically adding meeting requests

Are they being accepted or just added as tentative? You can't stop them from
being added as tentative - this way you (and others) know if someone is
requesting your presence in that same period before they book another
appointment.

And one other piece of information - the meetings are not getting
"accepted"
automatically - I have the check box for that turned off, and the "accept"
message doesn't get sent - it's just getting added to my personal calendar
(which I don't want it to do unless I explicitly accept the meeting)

I failed to mention in my previous post - this is Outlook 2003.

According to
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/as...276781033.aspx, there
is a
wonderful "feature" called the "sniffer" which automatically adds
meeting
requests to my calendar when they get in my inbox.

Is there no way to turn it off? What if I don't *want* meeting
requests to
be automatically added. There isn't a way for me to tell Outlook that
I'm
not so stupid that I need a "fail-safe to keep you from missing the
meeting
in case you don't see the request in your Inbox."?

Please advise!
