Default How to keep Calendar in 'monthly' view instead of 'list' view

This didn't seem to help me. Maybe This is not the same problem for which I
am seeking a solution.

First of all, I am using Outlook 2007 in a 64-bit Windows 7 environment.

When I start Outlook I have it set to open to the Outlook today page.
Whever I switch to look at my calendar it always opens (the first time) to
the "today" view. Subsequent openings will go to the view that was last
displayed. I almost never use the Today or the Weekly views. I want it to
open to the Monthly view. In my previous version (2002 I believe) whichever
view was used last is the one that would open the next time, EVEN after
closing and reopening Outlook.

Can this be done?

its usually the default - if you don’t use many custom views try resetting
all views by starting outlook with the /cleanviews switch. It will wipe out
all custom views.

Thanks very much for the reply and info.
I may have 'customized' that option off my toolbars menu, but have
returned
it and looks like that is most of the answer.
Would like to find a way to make the monthly view the default, but at
least
your answer looks like the best alternative 'workaround' to that.
Thanks again for your help.

the quick way to change Vuews is the Current View Window. It's on the
Advanced Toolbar in most versions.

Would prefer regular 30 day 'monthly' calendar view but sometimes
Outlook2003
'slips' into 'list' calendar view and there seems to be no quick way to
get
it back to the 'monthly' view and keep it there.
Ideas ???
