Default Various Outlook 2003 issues - Msgs changing to plain text mid-composition, etc.

Hello,

I've been using OL2003 w/ WinXP since it was released. I used various
other versions of OL for many years before that. In all that time, I
have never experienced the issues that have come up lately. I'm hoping
someone can help me resolve them.

1. In the midst of composing a new message or replying to a message,
the message format will change from HTML to plain text all by itself.
This started happening with replies to one person specifically but has
happened with increasing frequency and probably occurs with more than
50% of all ougtoing messages now. When I switch the message back to
HTML, the message changes to a new font, Tw Cen MT, even though my
default font for HTML messages is Arial. I have checked my mail format
settings and there is no setting anywhere telling OL to compose in Tw
Cen MT.

2. Another related problem is that sometimes when I am reviewing a long
message that requires scrolling, the message will randomly "jump" up or
down all by itself.

3. If I compose a message and select "send," then re-open and close the
message while it is sitting in the outbox, the message will just sit in
the outbox indefinitely. In order to send it, I have to move it to the
"drafts" folder, open it, and select "send" twice. It will not send on
the first try, but it always sends on the second try.

4. For messages with MS Office attachments, when I double-click on the
attachment, the Office application will open after a long ( LONG) wait,
but the file itself will not open. After the application opens, I have
to go back to the message, double-click the attachment again, and then
the file will open.

That's all I can think of right now. These issues seem to strange that
I am really at a complete loss as to how to handle them. I feel like
the issues have been getting worse.

Any help would be very much appreciated! Please let me know if I can
provide more information. Thank you!
