Default How to retrieve address book contents

Define "unable to open the PST file."
You'll need to provide at least some information here.

I'm still concerned about what lead to this problem in the first place
because there may be another issue. What error occurred and what
instructions did you follow exactly?

Are we to assume you did something? What?
Did you create a new Outlook installation?
If so, did you migrate your data to the new installation?
All your data will be where you last left it. The file you need is
your
Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the mail, calendar,
contacts
etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or
transfer:

When I was unable to enter Outlook, I followed instructions -
Outlook.exe,
Properties, in compatibility tab cleared run this program in
compatibility
mode for check box, then clicked OK. When I reopened Outlook all my
e-mail,
calendar data and contents of address book were gone.

How do I recover them? Especially address book contents.

Thanks very much for your help. Apparently I created a new Outlook
installation without migrating the data. Will check out the page s you
recommended

I followed istructions in
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...3.aspx.Created
My Outlook file in My Documents folder and moved Outlook pst file there.

Still unable to open pst file which I believe contains all the missing
Outlook data. Any suggestions?
