As an FYI, this doesn't work with all sync software, but its worth testing.

If you make the Live Mail folders the delivery location (select the
Hotmail folders and click Set as Default on the Data Files tab of
ToolsAccount Settings, then restart Outlook), then your software should
sync with those folders instead of the local folders.
