OE was never designed to have a message store that even approaches 2 GB.
In fact, most users start encountering problems when their store
approaches 1GB. If you message store is really 8GB, I'm surprised that OE
even opens!

I thought the 2 GB applied to the maximum dbx file size, not the Store
Folder size.
OE does not open the entire Store Folder when it starts.
