Default Computer name in userid is stopping me from connecting to comp. se

Try it with a new mail profile but do not use the Check Names feature, just
hit next. This should prompt you for your username/domain/password where
you can specify the correct credentials.

After furious head scratching, ndbluegold asked:

| I connect successfully to my company by creating a VPN connection and
| my sign-in is okay. Now I go to try to set up Outlook to the
| Microsoft Exchange server and when i check name it tries to log me on
| to the server. The problem is that it puts my computer name in the
| userid so even if the password is correct it does not validate
| because of the computer name. It should be just the user. I cannot
| figure out how to get rid of the computer name - Any ideas.
