Default Search all subfolders?

you need to choose the option to search subfolders - in the simple find at
the top of a folder select the folder(s) from the Search In button. In
advanced find, select the folders using the Browse button. Each dialog has a
search subfolders button.

So I've organized my inbox into a nice set of folders, but when I search
on
the Inbox folder, it doesn't appear to search the subfolders. How do I
get
search to search all the subfolders?
