Default Outlook recurring series should allow changing future dates ONLY

When a person wants to change a recurring entry - Outlook only offers
2 choices - this occurence or the series. There needs to be another
choice - changing future dates only. If there is a change in the
date or time of a recurring entry for meetings beginning on a certain
date, Outlook will now replace all entries that are part of the
series with this information.

While I think this is a good idea, it would require a huge change in the
approach to how recurrences are handled on Outlook.

Why would anyone want to replace their actual history of meetings with
inaccurate information? And if this was a scheduled meeting -
imagine the impact to others without their knowledge.

There are some ways that you can avoid changing the history, but it takes a
little work.

This is important for people that bill for their time, for auditing
and for Sarbanes-Oxley.

I, for one, think Outlook a poor tool for supplying audit data.
