When I open Outlook Express, version 6.00.2900.2180.(xpsp_sp2_rtm

---------

“Your server you are connected to is using a security certificate that
could not be verified. The certificate’s CN name does not match the
passed value.”

This happens when I have the advanced email settings set to what my ISP
has
updated to -------“This server requires a secure connection SSL
checked
and the ports to SMPT 465 and the POP3 port to 995.”

I am of the opinion that the problem may be in the Internet Settings. I
have read and read and tried this and that and it is still there. My 2nd
computer, an old gateway running windows 2000 pro does not have that
problem. I have the email settings the same updated way. Now, the C
drive
on that computer was complete reformatted and reinstalled about a month.
I
do not feel like doing that on my main computer as it takes forever.

Calling the ISP is a waste of time.

If you have any solutions outside of reinstalling xp pro, my ears are
open.

Thanks
