Default Importing plain text email messages into Outlook Express

Windows 2000; the mail client is Turnpike v6. No, you'll not have heard of
it!

It exports all emails in plain text format, i.e. as they appeared on Unix
terminals... To:.. From:... Via:... Subject:.... and a whole host of header
crapola before getting to the message. Probably a character 255 to terminate
the message and the next message follows it immediately. Turnpike calls this
the "Berkeley milabox file, *.txt".

Turnpike currently holds my emails from 1999 to the present day, so it's a
huge database!

From what Mail Client are you attempting to import the messages, Martin?

I cannot find a way to import plain text email messages from a bespoke
system into Outlook Express.

OE seems only to import existing PST files, or a limited number of other
commercial packages.

Does anybody know how I can import these messages?
