Using Outlook 2002 with imap configuration?
Is there any more information with that error message?

You could try a new profile. I'd start by only adding a POP3 account -
test
that then add your IMAP account.

I am using Outlook 2002 on my system with my mail service being AOL.

installing software, I cannot get the send and receive button to work
