Mine is 2003 - perhaps this is a quirk they have sorted in later editions.
It is not fatal - just a nuisance, as it means I havae to go into the
details of the address and delete it by hand everytine.

automatically stored in the contact list, but, when I place an address in
e.g. MSWord, to address an envelope, I do not need the country to appear.


What version of Outlook are you using? In Outlook 2007 there's just a
white space to type in the address - I don't type in "UK" and it doesn't
get automatically added....
