Default Outlook Express 6 freezes when opening emails with graphics.

I'm not sure what you mean by "All OE files were deleted". Do you mean
that you manually deleted them?

In any case I'm glad that you got your problem fixed.

Hey Michael:

Thanks tons for your professional assistance.

I ran the reg fix utility you suggested and changed the Security
settings by putting OE in the restricted zone. All OE files were
deleted. As a result, all graphic files pop up speedily and correctly
now.

Thanks once again for your most timely help.

It might be your anti-spam program scanning the attachments (images).

Assuming that these are HTML messages, it could be some scripting in
the messages. In OE Tools, Options, Security put OE in the
Restricted zone if it isn't already.

Could be some program that you installed that took over image
handling and has messed up the registry. Try the fix he

Could be a corrupted Temporary Internet Files (TIF). Try clearing
it. In IE: Tools, Internet Options, General, TIF Delete Files. Be
sure to check the Delete All Offline Content in the pop-up.

I use outlook express version 6 as my email application. This is the
problem:

Every time I go to an incoming email with graphics in it, it opens
but outlook express freezes. I have to then use the ctrl + alt + del
keys to stop outlook express from running.

What do you think is causing this?

Any response to this post is deeply appreciated.
