Default OE disabled URL links in SP2?

"jq3bn1" wrote in message

Hello,
I have shiny new Dell computer, about 2 months old. SP2 came
pre-installed, as did this copy of OE 6. When I get an e-mail with a
link, if I click the link I see the title bar flash, but it doesn't
open an IE window and load the URL.
I know that SP2 implemented security features to prevent loading
malicious pictures and attachments. I also know that there are
options to disable these features, under the Security tab in the
Options dialog box. But I don't see anything that re-enables the
links. I did see some goofy Dell-provided program that nagged me
about lower security settings when I tried changing things (from
"Disable" to "Prompt" only), so I suspect that might be a related
issue.

Why are my links disabled--and how can I fix it?

Thanks

It is safer to leave that checked and copy and paste the URLs into the
Address Bar.
