You guys All missed what he is trying to say.
The same thing is happening to me, when I double click on my IE6
desktop icon, all it does is creates a IE shortcut.
Right clicking on the icon doesn't give me the "Open" option, just
"Create Shortcut", "Delete", "Rename" and "Properties"
And they all function properly.
