Any ides as to what is going on here? Anybody got a fix? I suspect
that deleting the account and then reestablishing it should fix
things but I am as much interested in understanding the underlying
cause as well.

Tools - E-mail Accounts - View or change existing e-mail accounts (click
next). Select the POP/IMAP account and hit Change. Click More Settings.

Is anything there for the Reply E-mail?
