Default Transfer address book

Have you looked at the API?

Windows Address Book API
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...b/wabentry.asp

I would guess that there is some way you can read the group information
and build your own export file format. But I don't know of anyone who
has done that.

You'd then need to figure out how to get the group information into BCM.

I'll take that as a "No." I just thought there must be a way to
access the
WAB programatically and extract the information I need to an Access
database
or something else, manipulate the data and then import it into BCM??
I guess
not.

Sorry about the blank reply (my popup blocker got me).

My goal is to move my client's entire WAB file to the
Business Contact Manager (BCM). There are thousands of entries
and hundreds of Groups. I understand that I will lose the Groups
in
an Export, but is the ANY other way to accomplish my goal.
Can I somehow use the WABAPI to get it done.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Groups don't export or import. See Bruce's reply.

I am trying to transfer my outlook express address book to a new

when
importing to the new computer, I get all the address's but not my
e-mailing groups.

Is there a way to include my mailing groups in a transfer without
having
to creatie them all over again in the new computer?

Thank you
