Not sure where you are, but on this planet the Outlook address book cannot
be sorted by category and never could be. Explain more clearly why you feel
differently.

Mycontactlist was sorted bycatagories, always was. Today its not,
although the sort bycatagoriesis checked. what happened and how do
i fix i??

ok, im using outlook 2003, and my address book known as "contacts" can
be sorted in many different ways one of which is by "categories". i
can get it to sort in different views but not by categories.
